Part of your proofreading tasks should include checking the correctness of every word you use. Suffice to say, wrong words, especially when used repeatedly, have caused what could have been well-written pieces of writing to turn into a pile of confusing thoughts.
To avoid any wrong words in your writing, you need to determine first if they took place in your content. You can’t spot them if you keep on guessing which parts in all your paragraph seemed wrong.

It will be hard for you to generate an attractive income without variety in the product mix you offer to the public. Having a diverse product mix will enable you to cross-sell.
Because existing customers are easier to sell to then new customers, you will do well to develop products to appeal to your current clientele. They already trust you and have seen your track record–they are potential repeat customers. Providing they have further needs they will buy from you over someone else. This is why you must have additional products to sell.
Okay, sure, I am trying to find at least one title for each letter of the alphabet for my Writing Is… series of articles, and X starts the word X-ray. But the word really is applicable to writers and the writing process.
X-rays see through the outer shell of the body, the skin, to photograph the bones and organs within. In terms of writing, the writer looks beyond the surface layer of words and images, propaganda and garbage, to see the guts of the topic.
